PURDUE

These University Park homeowners cared enough about the history of this vintage home to save it from tear down and live through a full gut, addition and remodel to make it their own. Beautiful cove molding was spared as well as the original woodwork and built-ins surrounding the fireplace. The back of the house was opened up and modernized to create open concept kitchen/living/dining spaces, which allowed for a new ensuite primary bathroom above. I got the privilege of designing all of the cabinetry, making finish selections, creating custom window treatments, and bringing in new furnishings and lighting. There are a lot of fun quirks in this project including pops of color, unique art created from family treasures, and celebrating their love of Elvis. This family has a great personality and love of life that you can see throughout the design of their home! In fact, they are so much fun that their best friends bought a house on the same street (see Purdue #2)!!!
