RIDGEMEADOW

Jo Ann had been in her Lockwood home for quite some time, but when she was ready to remodel her galley kitchen, she knew she needed help planning it correctly. Being an avid cook and baker, she wanted to make sure that the space would be comfortable when it was just her or when her adult children and grandchildren came to visit.

This was my first big construction design job done completely on my own, and I did all of the drawings by hand. Everything was customized from the inside out. We opened up the space considerably, designing custom cabinets which included a coffee bar and baking center. We were unable to conserve the brick floors that Jo Ann loved, but added warm hardwoods to flawlessly connect to the adjacent rooms.

This kitchen was the first of many projects with this client turned life-long friend. In fact, I have had the privilege of touching every single room in the house! When Jo Ann re-married I was honored when she asked me to help weave in her new husband’s style so that he felt truly at home.

“Jen designed the kitchen of my dreams and helped bring continuity to the rest of my house. I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, and I hated how closed-in I felt in my galley kitchen. She was able to apply my vision and opened up the space to allow for the perfect flow between all of my private spaces. And, she customized everything for all my gadgets and ingredients.

Hiring a designer was the best decision! I would have made so many mistakes on my own. Jen talked me through everything so that I felt comfortable with the flow. Now my kitchen is truly my happy place.”
